Über Michael Olatuja
With influences from around the world, his music touches on each spot British/Nigerian bassist Michael Olatuja has hit around the globe, including London and Lagos, Nigeria, and NewYork. Olatuja finds commonalities among the various genres that have shaped his artistry, absorbing everything he heard along the way, including soul, jazz, R&B, gospel and more. He will lead his band Lagos Pepper Soup. The new album will feature Regina Carter, Diane Reeves, Angelique Kidjo, Becca Stevens, and more. Michael Olatuja has worked with artists like: Spike Lee, Stevie Wonder, Angelique Kidjo, Somi, and Chaka Khan. We are currently booking the 2019-2020 season.
