Dorothy Martin is the firestarter behind Los Angeles-based rock band DOROTHY—a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter known for fusing raw emotion, spiritual grit, and thunderous rock ‘n’ roll. Born in Budapest and raised in San Diego, Dorothy exploded onto the scene with ROCKISDEAD in 2016, earning massive DSP traction with anthems like “Raise Hell” and “Wicked Ones”. This was my first time seeing Dorothy live. I was VERY impressed. They put on a solid 40-45min set with almost no breaks and were strong throughout. The lead vocals were astounding (I think I'm in love), and the lead guitarist shreds! With a solid backup from bass and drums (how was the drummer not dying from heat in a full suit?), this was a great kick-off for the rest of the show. It was great to see and hear the crowd quickly appreciate them as well.
I definitely want to see them again in a more headline position. Or maybe teamed with the Black Crowes!

The venue was awesome - always is. The acoustics are great. I saw Dorothy at Stone Pony, an iconic site, but the Wellmont was better. Eddie and the Getaway were FANTASTIC, and Dorothy, as always, was the priestess that she is. My only complaint about her shows is they're less than 75 minutes, which is entirely unnecessary given the depth of catalogue now. I hope she will consider going 2 hours. I'd pay for that. Rock on, ladies of rock!

The show was great. Dorothy sounds really good live. She spoke about her recovery journey and her relationship with God which made me love her even more since I am also a follower of Christ who is in recovery. The venue was great too. The staff was nice and helpful. The bathrooms were super clean. I would go see Dorothy again in a heartbeat. In case you read these reviews, I love you Dorothy, I love your music and you as a sister in Christ!
