The Red Chord

The Red Chord is a metal band from MA who combine grindcore, hardcore and death metal together to make their music. The band have released 4 studio full length albums: 2002 Fused Together in Revolving Doors (Robotic Empire); 2005 Clients; 2007 Prey for Eyes; and 2009 Fed Through the Teeth Machine (Metal Blade).

After a period of inactivity, the band started performing again in 2022. There were a series of commemorative LP reissues and corresponding shows in 2024 for the Fused album and 2025 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Clients.

There are no definitive plans for the future at this time but all members are actively performing with other artists. Jon ‘Charn’ Rice tours full time with In Flames & Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. Vocalist, Guy Kozowyk recently launched Justifications. Bassist- Greg Weeks plays with artists, Sexless Marriage and Labor Hex. Guitarist- Mike McKenzie also plays with Sexless Marriage and a solo doom project called Stomach Earth. The entire Red Chord minus the vocalist joined by Jake Bannon of Converge and Sean Martin of Hatebreed/ 100 Demons/ Twitching Tongues also perform with a super group called Umbra Vitae.
