Über Bravenoise
With their debut album “Everything Was And Everything Will Be”, the Baltimore/DC-based trio Bravenoise redefines the meaning of a modern pop-rock band via both their recordings and their commanding live shows. The Bravenoise sound is based on a roux of prominent and soulful grooves, flavored by infectious melodies, catchy pop hooks, and clever arrangements, with a hint of Caribbean and Latin influences in their rock and roll mix. The band draws upon the reggae-inflected pop of The Police, the visionary artfulness of Radiohead, combined with the driving groove of the Motown sound, and the cool sultriness of Antonio Carlos Jobim’s Brazilian jazz.
Recording with Baltimore’s J. Robbins, known for his work with artists including Jawbox, Clutch, Against Me!, and The Dismemberment Plan, Bravenoise recorded
their full-length debut on a mixing board formerly owned by Roy Orbison.
Individually or collectively, the band and its members have played across the country and around the world, performing locally at events like Taste of Bethesda, The Baltimore Book Festival, and Brazil Day, at local establishments including Rams Head Live, DC9, Iota Club and the 8×10, and nationally at venues like Tulsa’s historic Cain’s Ballroom and T.T. the Bear’s Place in Boston. The trio parlayed the release of “Everything Was And Everything Will Be” into Deli Magazine’s DC-area Band of the Month in August 2011.
