Über Promethium

Promethium were born in 2007 and quickly recorded their first E.P 'The Revenge' which was self released and contained early versions of songs such as 'The Curse' and 'Cycle Of Vengance' which would go on to appear on their debut album. Summer 2009 saw the release of their Second EP ‘Tribute to the Fallen’ featuring the title track 'Tribute To The Fallen' which has gone on to be a mainstay of the band's live set. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWzcmIWnH6g) This was quickly followed by their debut album ‘Welcome to the Institution’ which was released late in 2010 and was distributed worldwide by Casket Music. It was described as “A very honest and original album with some truly great songs.”(Soundscape Magazine). In support of the album the band released their first music video 'Visions' which was directed by MJ Dixon who has gone on to earn great success with his own production studio making independant feature length films. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drfQRmQ9QOA) In 2013 Promethium's second studio album 'Origins' picked up where 'Welcome To the Institution' had left off. Released through Skyrocket Records, Origins was a critical hit with the album being described as “Taking all the elements of Welcome To The Institution and growing them into a giant metal monster of an album.”(Brit Rock Army) The album took the band on to further success with them going on to support such bands as Furyon, Beholder, Massive Wagons and Blaze Bayley. Appearances at what was Scotland’s only metal festival ‘Wildfire Festival’ and Manchester’s SOS Festival have helped attract an ever growing fan base. With two albums already under their belts, the band are currently putting the finishing touches to their third studio album 'Faces Of War' which is due for release later in 2017. Live previews of tracks from the upcoming album are already receiving a very warm reception from new audiences.
