Stewart Macpherson aka KING COLOBUS is a Devon based singer, songwriter and recording artist.
When performing as a solo acoustic artist, KING COLOBUS provides a generous dose of carefully selected and re-invented cover material, whilst introducing his audiences to experimental adaptations of his original music.

Following the release of the self-produced, self-titled debut EP in 2016, KING COLOBUS has supported the likes of SEA SICK STEVE, BAND OF SKULLS, DE STAAT, BLADE and MORIATY. He has also been a playlisted and featured artist on BBC INTRODUCING on numerous occasions and in both Devon and Cornwall regions. Some highlights include performances at GLASTONBURY, LEOPALLOOZA, TUNES IN THE DUNES, THE GREAT ESTATE FESTIVAL, BOARDMASTERS, KINGSTON FESTIVAL, CWMAFAN FESTIVAL, TURBULENCE FESTIVAL, DARTMOUTH REGATTA WEEKEND, GET RAD, FISHSTOCK and ROCKFEST.

KING COLOBUS collaborated with electronica artist ARTHR, releasing the club hit ‘WHISPERINGS OF THE WORLD’ through ARCADE PONY RECORDS in August 2018. January 2019 saw the release of a second 4 track EP, PEACE & LOVING. Summer 2024 will bring the long-awaited release of ‘TORN BETWEEN AGE AND PERSEVERANCE’ - A double EP that promises to showcase a new musical avenue for the solo artist.
