Über Poet The Band

Poet The Band
POET The Band is a modern alternative metal act redefining what a fully independent band can accomplish. Based in Bristol, Tennessee and Detroit, Michigan, the group formed online just over two years ago and has since built a self-sustaining operation rivaling label-signed acts.
In that short time, POET has released two self-produced EPs (Death Era and The Prologue), collaborated with Grammy-winning mastering engineer Ted Jensen (Bring Me the Horizon, Spiritbox, Kendrick Lamar), producer Cameron Mizell (Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire, Machine Gun Kelly), and acclaimed cellist/arranger Dave Eggar - whose credits span Coldplay, Evanescence, Avenged Sevenfold, John Legend, and Lewis Capaldi. Their latest single, Sin Eater (Acoustic), features Eggar’s performance and was produced by Matt Smile at Audioasis (credits: John Legend, Lewis Capaldi, Bebe Rexha). The track drops September 26, following the international growth sparked by Catch the Sunlight - a cross-continent acoustic collaboration with Tokyo’s Sailing Before the Wind that surged POET’s listeners and strengthened their Japanese audience.
On stage, POET has shared bills with Falling In Reverse, Wage War, Rob Zombie, Architects, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Until I Wake, Keith Wallen (Breaking Benjamin), Eva Under Fire, Saul, Through Fire, Shamans Harvest, Savage Hands, and more, performing at festivals like Upheaval Festival (Grand Rapids, MI), Rock on the Hill (Hanover, PA), and Rock4Vets (Harrison, MI). In just 30 months, they’ve completed three national tours, released 11 self-directed music videos, and built a full in-house machine, handling booking, marketing, production, merch, and analytics at a professional, label-level standard.
Currently, POET The Band is in production on Modern Day Poets, a feature-length documentary capturing their journey starting a new band and answering the question (What does being “Successful” even mean in the music industry?) featuring interviews with industry veterans like Josh Balz (Motionless in White, Danny Wimmer Presents, Blackcraft Clothing) and Todd McCarty (ex-VP Marketing at Sony / GM of Fearless Records) and many others.
For fans of Bad Omens, Sleep Token, Bring Me the Horizon, and I Prevail, POET The Band delivers a sound and story built for the biggest stages, and the systems to get there.
