TIMES

TIMES is the composition, production and sound experimentation project of Luz, artistx based in Buenos Aires. It's practice is situated between experimental music, sound art and performance, with an approach that conceives sound as a critical, alchemical and political tool. Sudied Music in Territories at the National University of Arts of Buenos Aires (UNA) and Expanded Music at the National University of San Martín (UNSAM), where specialized in sound synthesis and composition with electronic media. Completed technical training in orchestral score digitalization, multichannel sound, modular synthesis, sound design and music production, in institutions such as La Siesta del Fauno. Since 2018 releases it's music independently through the label Void Records Collective. In 2022 released the album Music for Breathing Without Assistance, an ambient/noise work that explores oxygen as an existential metaphor. In 2023 created VRC_XP, a cycle of experimental music concerts that articulates artists from different scenes in Latin America. That same year he participated in the international meeting Ladridos (Santiago de Chile), in a collective performance directed by Stéphanie Janaina, organized by Plataforma Grieta and Other People (Nicolas Jaar's label), with whom also shared the stage in the event Archivos de Radio Piedras (Buenos Aires, 2024). It's work was called by Radio Alhara (Palestine), where curated and produced the mixtape Latin American Sounds, with works by @Mabe Fratti , Concepción Huerta, Juana Molina, Nicolás Jaar, among others. Has performed live in different cities in Argentina and Chile, with audiovisual performances and DJ sets.
