Amity (official)

Whenever I go to a live performance, I go as a fan of the art/music/performances I've seen or heard before. What would have first been on the radio or television, but now also includes YouTube, streaming, and social media. Artists make their art and share it for us all to see and hear. Sometimes we'll go to see live music just because it sounds good. Sometimes, though, and for me, this is the best reason, we go because it feels good. You don't need to know the lyrics, or understand the story. It is just the case that some part of what you are connects with what you are hearing. And that aural connection, making me feel the song, is why I went to see Amity Miller at Cafe Kino. Hearing Amity perform live, and hearing a small part of the stories for each of the songs, it makes them more emotionally understandable and relatable. I had a very good, and unexpected, chat with Amity, ranging from a constellation inspired lanugage, through to Gengar, and some Japanese. Exactly the sort of chat ANYONE would be having! Yes? Overall, a really lovely show. We know that sometimes we go and do something for the unique experience, never to be repeated. And, as with all my reviews, I ask myself "Would I go again?". And this is one where the answer is a very firm "Absolutely!". Thank you for the great show, the VERY interesting chats, and the addition of a mug! You can NEVER have enough mugs!!!

Amity has such a wonderful personality and he is a great guy. His music is amazing and his lyrics are very powerful. Wow his voice, I could listen to it all day - we had such an amazing time and I can’t wait already for the next time.
