Starting out as a stupid pun on the name of a flower, Tiger Really has since become something like a life journal for Vancouver songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Lian Shao. Through confessional lyricism and symbolic wordplay, Lian documents the various events and people in his life with the aim of remembering how it feels to change, fail, grow apart, and love.

In a way, Tiger Really is a time capsule of emotions, expressed with a mix of influences from jazz, emo, punk and indie-rock.
