Headwired are a four-piece alternative/indie rock band from the Black Country rapidly gaining attention across the UK with a sound that blends anthemic hooks, gritty riffs and infectious sing-along choruses. Inspired by Oasis, the Stone Roses and the Arctic Monkeys, the band wear their influences proudly while carving out a sound that feels fresh and unmistakably their own — a breath of fresh air in a music scene where too many songs feel like echoes of the past.

Formed in 2023, Headwired have wasted no time building momentum. In just a short time they’ve released six singles, with breakout track “Carousel” becoming a fan favourite, racking up over 120,000 Spotify streams while also becoming a regular sing-along moment at live shows. Their latest release, “Head In The Clouds” (January 2026), is already quickly becoming another crowd favourite.

While their fanbase is now growing nationwide, Headwired remain proudly rooted in the Black Country, where they’ve spent the last few years building a fiercely loyal local following. That support has already seen the band sell out two headline hometown shows, with their biggest local performance yet set for Brierley Hill Civic on 2nd April.

Their reputation is spreading far beyond the Midlands. The band have begun playing festivals and venues across the UK, with shows planned nationwide and a major support slot on Britrock band Park Drive’s UK tour this August. At the same time, their online presence has exploded — growing from 300 to nearly 20,000 followers on TikTok in just six months, helping their music reach fans around the world.

With growing streaming numbers, packed shows and fans already calling for a full UK headline tour, Headwired are quickly becoming one of the most exciting rising names in British indie rock.
