Michael Lander Music

Songwriter and Guitar Specialist Michael Lander is launching his first of four EPs on April 13th, 2023. After over two decades of studying, practicing and performing music, he’s ready to expand his musical direction and share the music he’s worked on for over a decade.

Micheal’s love of music was readily apparent from a young age. Hailing from the Lower-Mainland of British Columbia while spending time in small town Alberta, he’s established home base in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for the last 15 years. Micheal was fortunate enough to attend the only high school in Western Canada to have a recording studio. Michael takes his stories from living in small towns and big cities while mixing in a taste of thought provoking lyrical stories. He's spent a solid 25 years playing a combo of Blues, Rock, Country, Jazz and more while supporting other artists and developing his chop in and out of the studio. Immersed in musical theory and armed with a desire to perform, Michael attended various workshops and participated in projects that were taught and directed by Juno Award winning musicians Brad Turner and Hugh Fraser. His song “Long, Cold Run” was a Top 25 Finalist in a Canadian Songwriting Competition and will be featured on his second EP coming in the near future.

Michael has felt fortunate to have his music picked up on CKYC, CKBI, CFIS and CJTR as well as a few spotlight features playing live on local radio stations in the past and is now beginning to book shows through Western Canada while planning further expansion of his musical career.
