Funkin' A is an original horn-driven jam band from Long Island, NY. As their name suggests, they play funk music-but with a few twists. Their original music contains many diverse elements, as they draw on a vast spectrum of influences. Every show is unique. They are constantly expanding the realm and boundaries of their music by infusing a fun and fresh jam element. Mainly, they have fun playing music. A lot of fun. Funkin' A began as a group of friends who simply got together to play the music that they loved. It has now become something much more, as they have branded their own style and sound. With strong vocals and eclectic songwriting at the forefront, a tight rhythmic unit providing the driving force, and a killer horn section to complete the mixture - these guys bring the party. Funkin' A has performed all over New York State for years. From the eastern end of Long Island, to the border of Canada (yes, Canada), the band has been able to play their music in many venues and is constantly searching for more. They have participated in a number of music festivals and have even provided music for multiple weddings.
