Über Mountain Vibes

Born and raised in El Paso, Tx, Abraham Marinelarena has been studying lead guitar since he was 8 years old. He's become well-versed in Jazz, Blues, and Flamenco styles over the years, and is most notoriously seen playing around town alongside drummer Jacob Pinedo in their jazz/blues duo Jake & Abe. In recent years, Abe has taken a deeper interest in Folk, and when Stephen moved back into town, the two started hitting up the open mics together and found themselves each in need of a partner.

Stephen Molina got his first music lesson on the piano at age 6. At 16, he started taking up bass guitar when he was asked to play in a local Praise & Worship band, and a year later, he decided to try the acoustic guitar and discovered his love for songwriting and a passion for Indie Soft Rock. He dabbled in drums and electric guitar on his way up to college at Texas Tech University in Lubbock,Tx, and in July 2015, he finally decided to record his debut album as the one-man-band Scuba and the Tanks. The album released one year later on July 22, 2016, and Stephen decided it was time to head back home and finish his studies at UTEP.

Abe and Stephen started jamming together again with acoustic guitars on August 16, 2016, and after writing a song together about home called "Mountain Town," a new partnership was born, hoping to spread good Indie Folk and hearty Mountain Vibes.
