Spider Heart formed in 2011, when Black joined forces with guitarist Rip Reed and drummer Julien Bloit. Taking inspiration from the likes of classic American punk and rock musicians like The Stooges, Patti Smith and The Cramps; they also note the more modern efforts of The Kills and The White Stripes as an influence. Last year saw the release of the band’s debut album Under the Gun.
