Sun of the Dying started in 2013 as a project by Lavín (Crystal Moors, Gathering Darkness, In luna) and Casuso (Eternal Dying, Apocynthion) aside of their main groups. For several months they were shaping the concept and theme until 2015, when the other members join the group: Diego Weser, and CNoir (Apocynthion), David Muñoz and Iván Sierra. Once the band was completed, they decided starting the recording of their first work at the end of year: "The roar of the Furious Sea". Before that, CNoir leaved the group and Roberto Rayo join it. For the following months there was more changes: Adrian MA becomes the new bassist and Eduardo the singer. In April 2017 the band releases "The roar of the Furious Sea", and José Yuste (As Light Dies) becomes the new bassist Sun of the Dying comenzó en 2013 como un proyecto entre Lavín (Crystal Moors, Gathering Darkness, In luna) y Casuso (Eternal Dying, Apocynthion) al margen de sus grupos principales. Durante varios meses fueron dando forma al concepto y la temática hasta que en 2015, se unieron los demás componentes: Diego Weser y CNoir (Apocynthion), David Muñoz, e Iván Sierra. Ya con el grupo completo decidieron a finales de ese año comenzar con la grabación de su primer trabajo "The roar of the Furious Sea", aunque antes CNoir tuvo que abandonar la formación, entrando en su lugar Roberto Rayo. Durante los siguientes meses hubo más cambios entre sus componentes: Adrian MA pasó a ocupar el puesto de bajista y Eduardo el de cantante. En abril de 2017 se lanza "The roar of the Furious Sea" y José Yuste (As Light Dies) se convierte en el nuevo bajista Doom/Death Metal band sunken in Madrid.
