This is the second time I’ve seen them live, and both times I look next to me and Doug is standing right there during the opener. I think it’s so cool that he comes in the crowd and enjoys the opener with everyone that came to see him.

The venue was intimate and the vibes were great. Doug is the man and bringing a new energy to the music we love with Mel on bass & Theresa on the sticks. We have seen the new form of BTS a few times now and tonight we noticed Mel leaning more into supporting vocals which gave the songs a subtle yet fresh harmonica we loved. Love BTS!

Been a fan since I got a hold of ancient melodies when I was a junior in highschool. Now at 40 I finally can say I have seen them live 😁 Setlist was a great mix of up tempo and chill tunes. I'm so stoked that they played 'mess with time', absolutely rocked! By the way, hearing them covering Heartless Bastards 'the mountain' was no joke one of the best moments in my life in the past 10 years... Completely unexpected slide-guitar rippin convergence of deliciousness. Thank you so much for the experience. BtS is the best.

This band really rocked the place. I like them more now after having seen them live. I just discovered them a month before the show and luckily caught them when they came to town. The bassist and drummer have such high energy. The singer guitarist knows how to shred and make his guitar sing. I'm a fan for life. I enjoyed every song. Very happy to have discovered this talented group.

What a fantastic show. I love this lineup. I have been going to see built to spill for 25 years. This venue, the crowd, the location, and the band all came together to create a fantastic show.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! There’s nothing wrong with love is one of my favorite albums of all time and they played it all the way through. The energy was breathtaking, the music was amazing, and the band was great to meet. Would definitely see them again!

We drove 3.5 hours from out of town to come to the show. It was such a great night. The supporting acts were fantastic...Yae and PlayDead were amazing. I rarely find warm-up acts that engaging. Great choices!! Built to Spill gets better and better with age. It was an amazing show. I love the band lineup. Everyone is playing so well. Teresa Eseguera is such a powerful drummer she's so much fun to watch. Members from Yae and PlayDead joined them on stage for an encore that was 15-20 minutes long!!! Fantastic way to finish the night. Had a hard time getting to sleep that night after the high energy buzz. Sad I can't make it to Austin for their show in September. Can't wait to see them again.

Built To Spill is a fun band and Asbury Lanes is a fun venue! I thought I was the only person who knew about Built To Spill - but the line to get in was over a block long.

I had goosebumps throughout the show. This band is so incredible and puts so much emotion and power into each note. They set up their own gear and have hand written playlists on strips of paper, thats f****n' indie!

I lost my effing tickets! I guess thats a hard lesson for me to learn. I wanted them for my junk journal, but i guess ill be getting digital delivery from now on. Dammit. I was so stoked to go see them, too. Im sure they were great.

Had no idea Built to Spill was one of those bands who deviated from their songs and swept you up to take a magical psychedelic funky carpet ride speeding toward all depths and dimensions of infinity and then setting your a*s back down again gently at the venue with a sweaty hug. 🤟 Plus those bad a*s babes on bass and drums! 😍

Doug is Doug and that's always fun to see. New drummer is absolutely incredible. Precise, clean, and the ability to play the all the phrases endlessly. I was so floored by her playing. Do yourself a favor and see this lineup play.

Great show! Built to spill… As usual, all music, no filler. Blood Lemon… pretty good set. Worth looking into Wetface… bizarre, funny, seemingly completely out of place. Left half of the crowd confused. Played ‘Stomp the world’ 3 times… a song we loved but can’t find anywhere online 🤷🏼‍♂️ and threw free t shirts into the crowd. The kind of music you make when you just don’t care what anyone thinks. 100% 👍🏼

Overall the show was good. I didn’t care for Itchy Kitty, and Prism B***h honestly stole the show! BTS went on what I would consider late and played a good long set, but I remember seeing them play years ago with a second guitarist and the truth is that the band should not play without one. There were parts of songs left out because one guitar cannot cover multiple parts, which was disappointing. We left before the end of the show because it was so late (after 11:30- yes I know I’m lame but I had worked a very physical job two days in a row and was in misery standing for the show). IMHO the show should have started at 7 or 7:30.

I was pleasantly surprised with the two opening bands, Itchy Kitty and Prism B***h. Neither are my favorite genre of music but they had a lot energy and obviously loved performing. I’d see Built to Spill several times and Doug’s band is always Doug’s band. I suppose he’d look happier to play if he wasn’t playing every night. His drummer, also the drummer for Prism B***h is awesome! The other 2 ladies are really good too… Fun night. Always enjoy the venue.

Over the last 25 years I’ve seen Doug and all of his great lineups play one outstanding show after the next. I’m not sure if it was sort of a collective celebration for everyone to be out seeing live music after a couple years of torture … but this was literally the best Built to Spill performance I’ve ever experienced. Can’t wait to hear what’s next to come out on Sub Pop later this fall… 🕺🏼!!

Show was great! First, it was outside near Joshua Tree in January so it was pretty cold. None the less, Built to Spill put on an entertaining show and played a lot of hits. Always fun seeing them perform.

The live stream was great! But there was no Built to Spill which is kind of why I was interested in the first place. Despite this, the other artists were amazing and now I have new music to listen to!

Absolutely incredible!!! I've seen them so many times and they never disappoint. Such an amazing setlist as well. What was it you ask? Well...ya shoulda been there. It's a secret. They're playing tonight and tomorrow as well. Hope you have your tickets because it's all sold out! See all you lucky devil's there tonight and tomorrow! Obviously I'm going to all 3 nights. Because when BTS comes to town...you go!

Great show with interesting warm-up acts. BTS was obviously the draw but the crowd rowdied up for the earlier acts, which is always nice. I shot some video of you're interested. I was fun to watch the two guitarists playing completely different things yet each somehow meshed into a coherent whole. I really wish that I had taken a video of them playing "The Plan" because I've always been interested in how they made that weird noise during the guitar solo. I was watching it though, and the second guitarist was playing under the bridge with a botleneck slide. Crazy stuff... As always, White Oak Music Hall was awesome, the sound and mix were amazing, and the crowd was pleasant and responsive.
