Born from the underbelly of Los Angeles and fueled by confrontation, Dead Posey are a rock band who thrive where taboo lives. Fronted by Dahlia Dread aka (Danyell Souza) alongside guitarist/producer Tony Nova (formerly of Eve6), the band has spent a decade carving out a world that fuses goth spirit, punk rebellion, ’80s synth-pop atmosphere, and ’90s alt-rock grit - unafraid to stare down darkness and turn it into catharsis for themselves and their loyal fans.
Since forming in the 2016, Dead Posey have built a fiercely loyal, ride-or-die following by tackling themes many artists avoid: sexism, power, obsession, control, and the psychological shadows of society & the human mind. Their music is visceral and cinematic - hook-driven yet dangerous - anchored by Dahlia Dread’s commanding presence and unflinching lyricism drenched in a distinctive sonic tone all of their own.
In 2024, the band released their long-awaited debut album ‘Are You In A Cult?’, a record that cemented Dead Posey as more than provocateurs - it marked them as cultural observers with teeth. The album’s apocalyptic energy and thematic weight were led by singles like “Welcome to the Nightmare” and “She Went Bad,” both of which received strong support from UK rock radio and international press. The record explored the rise of modern cult mentality - political, social, and celebrity-driven - asking listeners to question where devotion ends and sycophant obsession begins.
That energy and momentum has carried the band directly to the stage. Over the past year, Dead Posey completed multiple headlining tours in the US & UK/EU, proving their ability to draw and command rooms on their own terms, while also stepping into larger arenas for the first time as direct support for Marilyn Manson, exposing the band to a wider global audience primed for their dark, theatrical edge. Their live show - equal parts menace and communion - has become a defining pillar of the Dead Posey universe.
Across their career, the band has amassed millions of streams, earned praise from tastemakers like Kerrang! and Loudwire, and appeared on major international festivals including Download (UK), Mad Cool, and Rockland (Spain).
