The band started by a trio of musicians from Malaga: Maria del Mar, Eduardo and Dani (who left the band in 2005). They have released two albums of their own. In 2003, they were winners of the Premio Ondas musical award for their debut album, Endorfinas en la mente (Endorphins in the Mind).

We came all the way from London to see Chambao and wow what an awesome and very emotional night it was! We almost missed the concert due to our flight being cancelled the day before, so only arrived a few hours before it started but we were so happy to have made it there and it was very special. La Mari, muchas gracias for performing for us, you have the most beautiful authentic voice and we have fallen in love with your music, your canciones and your incredible band and hope to see you again soon! Muchas besos from us 😘😘
