Charlés knows what he wants to sound like. The 26-year-old self-described “Rapper-Songwriter” considers his sound soul music disguised as Pop-Rap, blending elements of Rap, Pop, and R&B. His writing emphasizes his talent for constructing catchy, melodic songs that focus on past experiences and love. The New York-born, North Carolina-raised artist was exposed to a variety of genres during his childhood. His family’s love for music inspired him to learn how to play the trumpet while in middle school as well as the guitar.

The growth that occurred in between Charlés' 2017 release, “Don’t Hit My Line,” and 2019’s “You’re My Favorite,” shows his dedication to continue maturing as a storyteller. By building a strong relationship with producer TrizzyBeat$, he’s been able to create a sound that’s all his own. Working closely with engineers Chris West and Adam Zavala has changed the way he makes music by facilitating a structured and creative atmosphere. Charlés is dedicated to searching through his past and finding unique ways to tell his stories.
