Über THEDK
THEDK was initiated as a recording project by Daniel Kidd in July 2014. Most of the early songs were written on acoustic guitar while he was an Architecture student, and in the early years of his career at BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group). After becoming a licensed Architect in New York State, Daniel had a bit more free time to devote to recording the work and translating it into a more produced electronic sound. The live band includes Les Paul Dunn on Bass Guitar and Synthesizers, and Jason MacDermott on Drums. The project would likely not exist without the encouragement and support of Daniel's long-time music collaborator Les Paul Dunn. Having recently received an Audio Engineering degree, Dunn was able to provide critical technical advice, and has co-produced several songs. The fledgling project is evolving towards a more electronic and percussion-based sound in future collaborations, and is currently focusing on playing shows in NYC, and nearby East Coast locations. THEDK is a Rock / Groove / Electro group based in New York City
