Über Toe to Toe
Toe to Toe is a Hardcore band from Sydney, Australia.
Early Toe to Toe shows around 1992 were summer backyard barbecues and punk venues around Sydney quickly building up a reputation as a formidable live act. A debut 7 inch single "Slap Of Reality" was recorded and sold out in a little over a month, the follow up "Unanimous Points Decision" sold equally as fast. Both singles are still a much valued collectors item around the world.
After doing the underground circuit for some time the long awaited debut album "Threats & Facts" was released in 1995 and quickly followed up by the "No Gods" EP. The success of these two releases and the reputation of live shows saw Toe to Toe become the leaders of the Australian surf, hardcore and skate punk scene.
After a line up change the boys headed to Europe blazing through the continent with bands like Lifetime, Murphy's Law and Apartment 3G on the back of their international release suitably sharpening their already intense live shows.
Returning to Australia they signed to Sydney based label Custom Recordings and received rave reviews after stamping their authority on the inaugural Surf Skate Slam and Vans Warped tours.
Next up was a full length album "Tao", was recorded in August and released through Shock in September 1997. The next release, "The Best Defence Is Attack", was a double CD of long gone vinyl, demos, live tracks and the now unavailable Spent releases. In 1999 they released the album "Consolidated" which would seem to be their last album since the band split up shortly after.
In 2001 the band was reformed and in 2003 they released the EP "Old Scores, New Glories".
Over the past two years Toe to Toe have played with U.S. punk archetypes Agnostic Front, Strife, H2O, 59 Times the Pain (from Sweden), Sick of It All, Madball and many more.
Toe to Toe deliver their music with passion and intensity they combine elements of punk, metal and old school hardcore to make their own style of aggressive sounds that appeals to anybody that likes heavy music.
