Jamie Cullum has one of my favourite voices in Jazz, and a piano talent that goes far beyond what is needed to be a jazz player. His band was excellent too. I expected to love this concert and I didn't, and I'm not sure if it was me or him. But if it was actually him, here's what it felt like: Jamie was restless, almost manic, with an energy that felt at first like he was trying to bring up the crowd's own but devolved into just trying too hard. The low energy of the crowd was inevitable - it was n outdoor concert with a temperature over 30 degrees, and the crowd had already been sitting in these temperatures since 730,listening to an excellent Joss Stone. But heat is enervating and the crowd had no energy left to give. And poor Mr. Cullum reacted by giving more and more energy to the void. What that frantic attempt did, though, was make it even harder to connect to the audience. It felt more like watching a toddler having a sugar rush. His brilliant piano turned to pounding. His mellow voice turned to shouting. His band turned his lovely song into Sing Sing Sing, which felt less like the versatility it was and more like desperation. In the end I lost all connection with the performers and had to leave after less than 2 hours.

5/5 best show I have seen Jamie in, awesome music and from his Christmas album aswell as being reminded about his 20th something anniversary. Thank you so much Jamie, hope you do something similar again. Merry Christmas to you, your family and also your supporting band ✌️

Simply fantastic. My last concert was in 2005, and the evolution from a talented young pop-jazz artist to a multifaceted international star is clear. Jamie was at his best, the band was stunning, and the energy was electrifying. He managed to get a rather conservative venue on its feet, then dancing and singing like crazy. What I truly cherished was how each musician had their moment to showcase their talent. And the rendition of "Killing in the Name of" was my personal favorite. Every minute was cherished and adored. Let me know if you'd like any further adjustments!

The show just amazing !!! Jamie was incredible: the voice, the energy, the connexion with the audience... what a genious artist and music player !!! One of the best concerts ever for my husband and I, as 15 years ago in Paris (Zenith) Well done Jamie and THANK YOU SO MUCH

Jamie and his band were astounding, once again. The man is a musical dynamo. He brings so much energy and joy to his performances. It is impossible to put into words how blown away we were by his piano playing but his singing voice is also astonishingly underrated. Without doubt, the best musical performer of his generation.

The man has such musical skill, talent and engages with his audience. Loved the mix of light and shade in the music, and (just as an sidea) the dance skills of his male backing singer. Jamie and his band were so together, so tight. We had tickets during Covid, but the gig then was right in the middle of a big surge, so decied not to attend. This made up for missing it. This was so much better value than some other stuff we've been to recently. Would go to see again in a heartbeat.

This show was beyond my expectations. Jamie was incredible! His music, his showmanship, he's professionalism....wow! It blew me away. Such fun with interactions with the crowd, we were dancing singing and clapping. He was absolutely amazing. I'd go again!

A fantastic performance by everyone that took to the stage. Jamie always makes it special involving the crowd so much. His joy at performing really comes across, hope I have the opportunity to see many more shows by Jamie Cullum.

Waited 20 odd years to see Jamie live and its fair to say he did not disappoint!! Such a talented guy with great stage presence, had everyone on their feet by the end of the show. Played a great mix of old & new stuff - not one bad track. Great support act too in Billy Locket.

Great show incredible energy loved the music. The only thing I didn't like was no seating being in my 60's very hard to stand for 4 1/2 hours. Enjoyed myself but would have been better sitting or having the option

Jamie and his talented and energetic band killed it. They turned Disney Hall into an intimate, rockin’ club. Musicianship at the highest level. 4th time seeing JC in LA and he always brings high energy but knows how to present a balanced show with it’s beautiful, quiet moments. Alone w the piano for “All at Sea” was a high point but the Nina Simone cover of “Sinnerman” was thrilling !

He was fantastic! So much energy. So geniune. So generous. When other musicians were taking the lead during the instrumental parts of songs, he was there on stage moving out of the way but watching them, clapping and cheering them on. We were up front in the first row, and, at the end of the show after what (based on set lists we'd seen on-line from earlier recent concerts) we thought was the last encore, he stood up from the piano and faced the crowd. We could see him well up a bit at the adoration from the crowd, put his hand on his chest, took a deep breath in and out --- and he turned and sat back at the piano for what seemed to be an impromtu addition of "Gran Torino." A great concert!

Jamie and his band were amazing!!! I have been a fan since the Twentysomething album in 2004, and was so excited to find out he was coming to play Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I brought a friend who had never heard of Jamie, and she said he was "incredible", too. Jamie has so much enthusiasm and energy, it is infectious, and you can see how much he loves the music, and his craft. This was clear throughout his performance, and when he watched his band members perform their solos. I hope Jamie comes back to New Orleans, or someplace nearby, because I would love to see him perform again!

Jamie Cullum put on a great show. I'm knocking off one star due due to the venue. Scoot Inn is a cool outdoor facility but it's completely flat. If it had a gradual incline, like Stubs, it would be a much better place to see a show. It would help shorter people see a little bit imo.

My fourth go with Jamie and love his piano and vocals. Amazingly pliable vocals and alway love his phrasing. Amazing back up band but not as fond of the backup singers. I also don’t need all the solos. I’m there to see Jamie and the entire band. That being said, a great show.

We have been waiting for you to come to NJ. My daughter wen to School in Glasgow Scotland for a year. Just as her year ended you came there the day after she left. She was soooo mad. Now coming here. One of the best concerts I have seen in a long time! You put on such a show! Your band and back up singers were all fantastic! You had this place popping! I can not wait to see you come into the States again. Please come back soon! BRAVO!!!
