Jefrey Leighton Brown is a multi instrumentalist who plays primarily guitar and saxophone. He doesn't really like boxes so it's near impossible to fit him into a tidy genre.
His previous bands include Gospel of Mars, Evolutionary Jass Band and JOMF. He currently performs with Juma Sultan's Aboriginal Music Society and occasionally The Dirt Whisperers as well as appearing as a solo act performing original compositions for classical guitar.
He has appeared and recorded with Danny Arakaki (Garcia Peoples), Kyp Malone, Kelsey Lu, Parquet Courts, David Sitek, Fergus and Geronimo, Starina Catchitoorian and others.
He has released two solo albums and is currently about to release a third which consist of pieces composed for classical guitar.
He currently resides in Kingston New York.
