Jo Davie

Graced with jazz sensibilities, exceptional vocal technique and a four-octave range, vocalist Jo Davie offers up genuine story-telling. Bursting onto the Australian scene as runner-up to the 2018 Folk Alliance Young Artist of the Year, she is winning audiences and accolades across Australia, with her unique style and vibrant stage presence. Recently, Jo supported ARIA award-winning artist Katie Noonan at Brisbane’s QPAC Concert Hall, Sydney Festival, Bleach Festival and Darwin Festival, alongside a run of Victorian shows. Whether performing her own songs, soaring above her raucous band 'Cigány Weaver', or playing in Asha Jefferies’ band, Jo sings with heartfelt simplicity, technical skill and impressive versatility. Having showcased at festivals including Woodford Folk Festival (QLD), The National Folk Festival (ACT), Bello Winter Music Festival (NSW), Cullulleraine Music Festival (VIC), and Tablelands Folk Festival (FNQ), her career has already taken her across Australia. Above all, Jo’s primary focus is to share stories, hoping to put a little bit of herself into every song she performs.
