About Kyle Anne
Kyle Anne Duggan is an accomplished singer-songwriter and performer. She studied Songwriting at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, with voice as her principle instrument. She is also proficient at guitar and piano.
Kyle Anne is no stranger to the Boston music scene, and has played at venues all around the city, including Club Passim, TT the Bears, the Berklee Performance Center, and Great Scott. Her music credits include singing background vocals for Mario Spinetti's debut EP at the legendary Chung King Studios in Brooklyn, New York, and is associated with such notable acts in the Boston music scene as The Ex-Girlfriends, an all female comedy band, and Eclipse, a Pink Floyd cover band. With the Ex-Girlfriends, she was a participant in the Make Music Festival, held annually in Harvard Square, for two consecutive years in 2009 and 2010. The Ex-Girlfriends were also one of very few featured performers at the Storyteller’s Concert Series at Berklee College of Music’s David Friend Recital Hall for three consecutive years from 2008-2010. She also performed with The Ex-Girlfriends at Boston's Women in Comedy Festival in 2010 with Maria Bamford headlining.
Her professors at Berklee also recognized her unique brand of songwriting. The late Henry Gaffney hailed her music as "Beautiful. Hopeful, borderlining heartbreaking." Livingston Taylor, a prominent figure in the contemporary folk scene, and one of her favorite professors, called her a "Honking guitar player!" and also informed her that she was as "Talented as my brother James [Taylor]!"
Kyle Anne currently resides in Southwest Florida, where she actively performs all around the Fort Myers and Naples area, including The Norris Center, Mercato Naples, The Sydney Berne Davis Art Center, and various local breweries and other notable establishments. She was a featured performer and organizer of Babefest 2016, a music festival that features female musicians curated by Love Your Rebellion, a local feminist collective who she is actively involved with. She also performed at Naples Baconfest 2016, where she opened for country superstars Brooke Eden and Love & Theft. Her music has been featured on local radio stations, WGCU Gulf Coast Live (a division of NPR News) as well as notable chart-topping podcasts. You can catch her every Monday night at No. 3 Craft Brews and Beer Bar in Cape Coral where she hosts Open Mic Night.
