Dean Lewis and the opening acts were great! There was a big gap between artists tho which was not necessary and made the night drag on. My main problems were with the venue. A group of my friends and I were very much looking forward to this event. To preface 2 of us were over 18 and the rest were under. To get to the gate and have people tell us they weren’t allowed in was astonishing. If under18’s were not allowed in without an adult over the age of 25 perhaps people should have been told before they arrived at the gate. I also do not understand how it is safer for them to walk in with complete strangers than it is for them to walk in with their friends. Another point I have is that usually public transport is free with tickets for a concert. After missing the shuttle bus and not having more arrive, we walked down to the station and found we needed to buy train tickets. Not a big deal at the end of the day but rather inconvenient when we thought they would be included like they are with many other concerts/events.

Super engaging, great stage presence. His voice is just as good in person and despite a lot of his songs written about heavy subjects, didn’t have a heavy energy. His pre-show performers were fun too. Only critique was wishing that “how do I say goodbye” was played a little earlier. The song is really emotional for me and leaving it second to last left me feeling still sad when the concert ended. But that’s just a personal thing. Otherwise really great show!

The event run smoothly and on time, supporting acts and main artist were good and engaging, but for Dean Lewis, the drums were set A LOT louder than everything else and drained his voice and the other instruments. It took away from the experience quite a lot. There was a violinist in the show that you couldn't hear AT ALL, she literally could have been "fake playing" and would have been the same. The reverberation of every drum hit was felt in the throat and chest in an unpleasant way (and this is coming from someone who loves a deep bass!) and you simply couldn't enjoy the songs. The best and most enjoyable one was an acoustic song just with piano and violin for this reason. I would understand this setting for another type of artist (say Red Hot Chili Peppers), but not for someone like Dean Lewis. I think this is an easy to fix tech issue. Backstreet Boys sounded incredible at Rod Laver, for example.
