Ka Tet

Ka tet are a Galway(Ireland) based, three-piece rock band whose sound focuses as much on 3 part vocal harmonies as it does on crunchy guitar riffs, gripping rhythms and chunky bass undertones. Their hard hitting music has been compared to the likes of Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures. The band encapsulates elements of all of these influences, combining them to create a unique and exciting new sound. 2013 was an unbelievable year for Ka tet, which saw them release their début album ARCADIA, and tour Ireland extensively in support of its release. The album has received fantastic reviews from some of Ireland's most respected music writers and was recently named in Chew Your Own Fat's Best of 2013 list! Ka tet we're also featured and interviewed twice on The Mix Up with Colm O'Sullivan on Today FM following the release of their first two singles 'Let my Lady' and 'Bob n Charlie'. 2014 is shaping up to be even better, with a UK tour already under their belts, the band have been confirmed for several Irish festivals this summer including Vantastival, Kfest, Philfest and Light Colour Sound Festival.
