Stonewalls

STONEWALL MACHINERY. That was the name of Mr. Jim Simonton's business, tucked away in the trees off Highway 469 in Florence, Mississippi. We called it "The Desert" on account of the dirt and gravel pit on the property, an ironic name given the overall lushness of the area, the woods of oak and pine and wild blackberry bushes all encroaching on the small house trailer serving as S.M.'s headquarters. The Florence boys used The Desert as a retreat, a place where we spent countless nights without permission, in the throes of adolescence and devious behavior. We dreamed, told stories, partied, and lived. We formed a rock n' roll band, with various line up and name changes to follow. In early 2014 we tragically lost Mr. Jim Simonton, and as we debated what to call our newly formed lineup, it didn't take long to find a fitting name: STONEWALLS Change the Subject - EP by Stonewalls https://itun.es/us/o1rwfb
