About What If Elephants
Montreal indie pop-rock quartet, What If Elephants, strikes a delicate balance with their elegant and rousing sound – between accessible pop and deeper, introspective lyrics that lie just below the surface. The band puts a positive perspective on adversity and finds inspiration in the impact music can have on people.
Chosen as Montreal’s top 10 in CBC Searchlight three years in a row, winners in Canada’s Walk of Fame RBC Emerging Musician Program 2018, and featured both on Canada Destinations and Parcs Canada for promotional campaigns, they’ve resonated with fans across the country. 2018 saw WIE perform with emerging Canadian acts such as MonoWhales, The Royal Foundry, The Kents, and Birds of Bellwoods, as well as showcase at Canadian Music Week and POP Montreal alongside internationally rising artists, Saint Sister and Shotty Horroh.
Currently in collaboration with Walk Off The Earth producer, Tokyo Speirs, What If Elephants is preparing contagious new material to take to the road in 2019. Commenting on their first single, “Candles”; “You can already picture a field of fans at a summer music festival waving their arms and singing along to this one” - Grant Lawrence
