Fake Heroes formed in February 2012 by the ideas of the guitarist and composer Gianni ‘ Draft Djentleman ‘ Vespasiani .
The initial genre of the band was mainly heavy rock / nu metal, inspired by contemporary American bands. In April 2012 they released the EP ” Beyond This Glass” and after that they started to play live and to participate to local and national festivals.

After the first EP, the band was noticed by Red Cat Promotion but the one to allow the release of their first album “Divide and Rule” would be the Antstreet Records Berlin in March 2013. The CD was presented on the 23rd of March 2013, at a gig with the project Rezophonic Mario Riso, with which Fake Heroes were connected by playing at rock tv contest in November 2012. The first album gets acclaims both in Italy and abroad, increased by the first mini tour in England, July of 2013.
Throughout the same year the band performs live with great artists of the scene such as Cristina Scabbia, Movida and Cyborgs. Moreover Virgin Radio sponsors their perfoms in Florence.

The real change happens at the beginning of 2014: Riccardo Ruiu, the drummer, due to other musical and professional commitments finds himself forced to leave his place in the band. A few months later, the bands chooses a new drummer, Michael ” Mike ” Santoleri. Their first live together takes place during Rock’n Roll Rho, where Fake Heroes are a side band supporting The Kolgr.

The entry of Mike brings new ideas and other influences to the band’s style, moving it towards progressive music. Fake Heros start working immediately on new tracks . During the summer 2014 the second EP ” Bridge Of Leaves” is recorded at Touch Clay Studio (by Giacomo “Jack” Pasquali).
The EP comes officially out in September 2014 in all digital stores.

Starting from the same month till the end of the year the band records their second album, made of 11 tracks, involving two important features: Giacomo Castellano and Lorenzo Venza.

Before the release party the band replaces Francesco Cetrullo with a new bass player : Francesco Gentile .

In the same time Francesco D’ Amario joins the band as third guitarist .

After the release party (3 October 2015) Fake Heroes have some gigs around Italy.Over the months "Clouds" receives several quarters and excellent Italian and foreign
reviews (Metal Hammer, Metalitalia, Progsphere, It Djents, Rock Hard ...).In June 2016 Fake Heroes have the great honor to perform as opening act for TesseracT in 2 gigs in Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg) in collaboration with AlphaOmega Management.In July 2016, the band is once again looking for a bass player to replace Francesco Gentile.In the same month, the band signed with the AlphaOmega and officially enter its roster.

Filippo Di Tillio joins the band as new bass player in October.

I Fake Heroes si formano nel febbraio del 2012 dalle idee del chitarrista e compositore Gianni 'Draft Djentleman' Vespasiani.
Il sound iniziale della band è decisamente heavy rock/nu metal e trae ispirazione dal sound americano di questi ultimi anni.
Ad aprile del 2012 arriva il primo EP “Beyond This Glass” e con esso i primi live e diverse partecipazioni a contest e festival nazionali.
Dopo il primo EP la band viene notata dalla RedCat Promotion di Firenze e di lì a poco sarà la Antstreet Records di Berlino a permettere l'uscita del loro primo full lenght “Divide And Rule” (marzo 2013).

Il disco viene presentato il 23 marzo 2013 in un live con il progetto Rezophonic di Mario Riso, con il quale i Fake Heroes sono in contatto dai tempi della finale del Rock TV Contest di novembre 2012.

Il primo album ottiene consensi sia in Italia che all'estero e nel luglio del 2013 arriva il primo minitour in Inghilterra.



Per tutto il 2013 si susseguono live e apparizioni di rilievo con artisti del calibro di Cristina Scabbia, Movida e Cyborgs e inoltre si esibiscono a Firenze per Virgin Radio.


All'inizio del 2014 arriva il primo vero cambiamento: Riccardo Ruiu (batteria) per altri impegni musicali e professionali è costretto a cedere il suo posto dietro le pelli. Qualche mese dopo, la scelta della band cade su Michele "Mike" Santoleri con cui arriva a marzo il primo live di supporto ai Klogr al Rock'n Roll di Rho.

L'ingresso di Mike porta nuovi stimoli e altre influenze al sound della band che si sposta su territori piuttosto progressive e inizia a lavorare da subito a nuovi brani.
Attualmente i Fake Heroes hanno terminato le registrazioni del loro secondo EP “Bridge Of Leaves” al TouchClay Studio di Popoli (Giacomo "Jack" Pasquali) , EP uscito ufficialmente il primo settembre in tutti i digital stores.

A settembre 2014 sono inziate ufficialmente anche le registrazioni del secondo full lenght (di 11 tracce) che termineranno entro la fine dell'anno.
"Clouds" esce ufficialmente a settembre 2015.

Prima del "release party" del disco la band sostituisce Francesco Cetrullo con un nuovo bassista: Francesco Gentile.

Nello stesso periodo entra nella band Francesco D'Amario come terzo chitarrista.

Dopo il release party di "Clouds" (3 ottobre 2015) i Fake Heroes si esibiranno per alcune date in giro per l'Italia. Col passare dei mesi "Clouds" riceve diverse ed eccellenti recensioni italiane ed estere (Metal Hammer, Metalitalia, Progsphere, It Djents, Rock Hard...)

Nel giugno del 2016 avranno poi il grande onore di esibirsi come gruppo d'apertura ai TesseracT in 2 date in Russia (Mosca e San Pietroburgo) in collaborazione con AlphaOmega Management.

A luglio la band è di nuovo alla ricerca di un nuovo bassista che rimpiazzi Francesco Gentile.
Nello stesso mese la band firma con la AlphaOmega e entra ufficialmente nel suo roster.

Ad ottobre dello stesso anno la band annuncia l'ingresso del nuovo bassista Filippo Di Tillio.
