About Inaiah Lujan

Inaiah Lujan is a songwriter, producer and visual artist from Pueblo, Colorado.

Aside from solo performances, Lujan writes songs, sings and plays guitar in a few bands who tour regionally and nationally including; in/PLANES and The Haunted Windchimes.

Lujan was born in Colorado but grew up in a small town of Ganado, Arizona, located on the Navajo reservation. Since 2000 Lujan has called Pueblo home and has since been heavily active in the Colorado music community, performing and producing a number of recordings for himself and others.

As a visual artist (Trulu Design) Lujan has created and collaborated on many projects for artists such as; The Hard Working Americans, Todd Snider, The Band of Heathens and more.

Lujan's latest solo effort ‘I’m Alive - 10 Years of Home Recordings - Vol. 1’ is a collections of songs written and self-produced between 2006 and 2016. Self released on cassette tape and digital (inaiahlujan.bandcamp.com) August, 2016. Here is what Josh Johnson of The Denver Post had to say about it, “The songs have the feel of 1950s ballads in a world developed by David Lynch. They are raw, emotive gems deserving of their own space in Inaiah’s catalogue”

In March 2019, Lujan released the self produced Lo-Fi, Hip-Hop and Latin infused single 'I'm Away,' inspired by the death of Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison. A portion of the proceeds will go to help the recent efforts of Daniel Johnston's and his 'Hi, How Are You Project,' who's mission is mental health Awareness, Research and Education (hihowareyou.org).

Recent releases for other projects include, ‘in/PLANES - Radio Wave' [May 2018] (Nominated for a 303 Magazine Award in the Best Album / EP category), and ‘The Haunted Windchimes - Sleepy Baby EP’ [November, 2018]. Lujan is currently working on a new solo album, producing and mixing albums for Cincinatti based band The Harmed Brothers, Colorado Springs based band Briffaut and mixing songs for a new Mike Clark & The Sugar Sounds record and EP.

“There is a tension to the music, but it’s a tension that feels like a release, a cathartic expression.”

- Josh Johnson, The Denver Post

“One of Colorado’s most prolific and talented musicians”

- John Bueno, PULP

"Whether laying down some succulent psychotropic hip-hop as DJ Flow Nase, feeding off of severely distorted barre chords with the riff-heavy punk band A Poor Substitute, or lending distinctive vocal abilities to the peculiar and hypnotic "funeral pop" band The Mexican, Pueblo's Inaiah Lujan is plainly a restless soul."

-Adam Leech, The Independent
