About MMTH
Combining 80s Shoegaze and the tremendous impact of Post-Rock this band shows that they don’t need words to take the listener on a trip.
In 2017 MMTHs ‚Paternoster‘ came out of nowhere. The quartet from the north sea coast of Germany had a quick start. Visions magazine chose their debut as ‚demo of the month‘, Arctic Drones readers made them one of the best new post rock acts of that year through an online voting. They started traveling around Germany and the Netherlands playing shows with Rosetta, Public Service Broadcasting, Hemelbestormer, Coastlands and Spoiwo followed by a tour together with their friends from The Clouds Will Clear.
The sound of MMTH is drier than classic post rock. They’re more groovy, more rock and a little less cinematic and less cliche tremolo guitars. Sure, you will hear those moments but they rely more on contrasts than forcing to create the big moment. They just call it instrumental rock music.
Since 2021 they’ve been working on their next album. But it wasn’t until 2023 that they would finish the process with guitarist Carlo Persh leaving and Patrick Büch joining the band. They’ve already written material together and being on fire again.
The new album ‚Infinite Heights‘ will be out November 17th 2023 on Vinyl, CD, Digital and all streaming services. It contains six tracks and has a length of 31 minutes. This release is a collaboration with the label Poly Unique.
The contrasts in their new music break even more apart. But dreamy melodies and naked riffs still meet on an equal footing and create the common thread. ‚Infinite Heights‘ sounds like the end of a new beginning.
