Jaroslav Filip (born June 22, 1949 in Hontianske Moravce, died July 11, 2000 in Bratislava) was a versatile slovak artist - musician, actor, composer, humorist, literary adviser, Internet lover...
known as - Man of mass occurence

Born into a family of teachers. In the early 60's studied on a conservatory in Bratislava being under huge influence of a contemporary musician Dežo Ursíny and his band Beatmen. Due to bad results he had to continue his studies on a school of music in Zilina. After graduation attended concerts and later also Beat festival in Prague (1969) with Blues Five band of Peter Lipa. Later joined University of Performing Arts in Bratislava, studying dramaturgy and screenwriting, where he graduated in 1976. Band member of popular YPS in the firt half of the 80's.

His contribution to the Slovak cultural heritage include among others cooperation with:
Dežo Ursíny - the legendary album Provizórium,
Milan Lasica & Július Satinský - albums Bolo nás jedenásť(1981), S vetrom o preteky(1982), My(1987) and Sťahovaví vtáci(1990). Together created cabaret Ktosi je za dverami(Somone's behind the door) and few other theatrical projects.
Richard Müller - hits including: Milovanie v daždi, Cigaretka na 2 ťahy, LSD, Daňový únik, Spočítaj ma,24 hodín denne, Cez okno...

Member of creative team of Slovak humourists (with Štefan Skrúcaný, Miro Noga, Zuzana Tlučková, Rasťo Piško, ujo Imro a Stano Radič) reflected opinions to the social relations in the 90's on both radio and TV.

Well-known dedicated fan of Internet, exploring the network since dial-up era. Together with Robert Dyda established the first slovak internet magazine Sieťovka.
Cooperated with radio networks, creating shows: Záložňa, Noční vtáci(together with Roman Kittler, later with his older son Jaro)

Performed in movies, his characters were mainly melancholic and serious, contrasting to his actual life.
Playing main character in the biographical movie Albert(1987) was considered as peak of his acting capabilities.

He had three children with his wife Eva: sons Jaro and Leo and daugther Eva. His daughter is also a young artist Dorota Nvotová, that he conceived with actress Anna Šišková.
