Dry Bones

Dry Bones is the electronic side project of Mid Michigan songwriter, producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, Joe Hertler. As a long time fan of electronic dance music, Hertler is still unsure why folk music became the favored medium of his creative endeavors... all he knows is that it doesn't matter. Both projects, while entirely different beasts, are foundationally universal.They come from the same place. He's know for dynamic high energy disco / electro house sets, but favors the chill, soulful grooves of tech house, techno, deep house, and funk. Occasionally, he plays out dubstep, trance, moombahton, and glitch hop - all of which are interwoven with his own productions. On the side, he runs "School of the Groove" a weekly Sunday evening EDM broadcast that airs out of 91.5FM Modern Rock (CMU Public Radio). Also, he organizes and hosts bi-weekly events at Groove Academy, Mount Pleasant's premier underground nightclub; a conceptual EDM watering hole for like minded enthusiasts. Dry Bones
