About A World Like Ours
I, The Captive was an originally live performing band, that was revamped into an internet band. Originally formed in August of 2015, I, The Captive brought in a Drop A# tuning to the depths of the Colorado music scene. Bringing in raw talent from other bands and projects across the state, I, The Captive quickly became known. It wasn't until after ITC released unfinished and raw audio via Youtube in small 30 second snippets that ITC really started picking up their name around their neighborhoods. Soon after, in April of 2016, ITC released its first single titled "A Captain's Trophy Cabin Boy". The newly released single gained a lot of positive reviews among its peers, which helped guide the band to their already established name. With a newly released single, came ITC's first live shows... playing in venues such as the Pit Stop Tavern, City Hall, and The Roxy Theatre. ITC played with names like Forevermore, Darkness Divided, Scare Don't Fear, Kissing Candace, Vesuvius, Curses, Live Like Glass, and others. In late 2016, things took a turn for the worst, with the band and it's members decided to go separate ways, ultimately leading to the bands bitter end. Now, in February of 2017, Original lead vocalist David Copeland decides to revamp I, The Captive not as a live performer, but as an Internet sensation. The amount of musicians who considered auditioning was outstanding and more than expected. I, The Captive is expected to make a full recovery in 2017, with it's members keeping live performances as a possibility in the near future. I, The Captive also expects to release it's EP titled "The Worst In Me". I, The Captive is a former live performing band, revamped as an Internet sensation.
