About Heavy Cream

HEAVY CREAM is quickly becoming the definitive tribute to CREAM, rock music's original SUPER GROUP! Formed from Britain's best talent in 60's musical virtuosity, Cream featured the legendary Ginger Baker on drums, the incredible Jack Bruce on bass and lead vocals, and the man they called 'God' on guitar...Eric Clapton. Their rise was meteoric...bright, fast, and powerful, but short-lived. While the group burned out before the 60's were over, Cream's music has stood the test of time. White Room, Sunshine of Your Love, Crossroads, Badge and many more monster 60s hits, in addition to a supreme live show performing reputation have left a lasting legacy of the first 'Power Trio' that blended rock, jazz, blues, and psychedelia into the standard that all other classic rock bands would be measured against. For the first time, with stunning historical accuracy in both look and sound, a tribute to Cream has been assembled...HEAVY CREAM out of PHILADELPHIA. Boasting spec replicas of the famous 'Fool' artwork guitars of Clapton and Bruce and Ginger Baker's legendary double Ludwig drum kit, as well as Cream's signature stack of British Marshall Amps, plus authentic wardrobe that Cream actually used at their most memorable 60's shows, this band has all the requisite parts to re-create Cream's classic concerts for today's audiences. And they have the talent too! Picked for their uncanny abilities to mimic Cream in both look and sound, three of Philadelphia's best musicians have set out bring back the experience hearing and seeing the Cream's music LIVE! Dion Paci as Jack Bruce: One of the most highly sought after session musicians in the Philly market, Dion Paci is a master multi-instrumentalist on guitar, bass and drums who performs non-stop both in studio and for live shows with a seemingly never ending succession of projects. A Berklee College of Music alum, he was a founding member of the award winning music series 'Mad Cow' with G. Calvin Weston, member and producer in the progressive rock/jazz-fusion all-star group 'As Human' and a performing member of Michael Schrieve's(Santana) Spellbinder. Dion currently performs and periodically tours with Seattle based band Willow and the 'Chase the Magic Dog' project while still teaching master musician clinics throughout the country. Dion also hosts popular weekly jam sessions in the Philadelphia area and maintains a working list of highly notable musicians in the rock, hip-hop, R&B and jazz worlds such as: Bernie Worrell (P-Funk, Talking Heads) John Medeski and Billy Martin (MMW), Jamaaladeen Tacuma (Ornnette Coleman, James Blood Ulmer), Mark Guiliana (David Bowie, Brad Mehldau), DJ Logic, Mutlu (Amos Lee), Marco Benevento (the Duo, Mike Gordon), Owen Biddle (the Roots), Skerik (Critters Buggin, Les Claypool), Chuck Treece, Gerald Veasley and many more ... https://www.reverbnation.com/chasethemagicdog https://www.reverbnation.com/willow Steve Iannettoni as Ginger Baker: The youngest member of this 'Philly Power Trio' Cream creation, Steve Iannettoni is another super multi-instrumentalist talent who currently performs in not one, but two of Philadephia's most exciting up and coming bands. As a drummer, Steve can be found backing the classic rock jammer, CRISBIE. While also he is the bassist and a vocalist in the popular indie alt-experimental rock group, SONNDER. A 2011 choice award winner in the Berklee School of Music HS Jazz competition, Steve's star is on the rise and his red-hair flare makes him a perfect fit for Ginger! https://sonnder.bandcamp.com https://www.reverbnation.com/sonnder CRISBIE.com Billy 'THE KID' Thoden as Eric Clapton: Only 16 years old, Billy Thoden has already enjoyed a storied professional music career. Discovered by Jimi Hendrix's bassist, Mr. Billy Cox at age 10, Billy was already a kid phenom blues guitarist, able to play the guitar behind his head or back flawlessly and in showman style ala Hendrix & SRV while leading bands and lead singing. At only 11 - 12 years old, he began a blues festival touring schedule that hasn't stopped, playing top stages from Nashville NAM to Nova Scotia's Guitar Fest! He's opened for major acts like Robert Randolph and Pat Travers, performed with greats like Eric Gales, Dickey Betts and Billy Cox and received personal tutelage from blues/rock legends like Elvin Bishop and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, who gave him the moniker "The Kid." https://www.facebook.com/pg/billythekidband1/about/?ref=page_internal HEAVY CREAM - The Definitive Tribute to CREAM!
