The Rompstompers

The Rompstompers started with Gavin Mikesell and "baby cousin," Josh Mikesell. Two young musicians with a simple agenda to play music and have fun. The story goes; Gavin, an avid and respectable musician, going along with his daily routine of practicing guitar and writing music. Highly influenced by The Bad Brains, Pixies, Black Flag, and what not, the dots connect themselves and The idea was born. The first Rompstompers song was in its fetus state and awaiting its birth. Josh Mikesell, a young musician taught by his older cousin Gavin, Was enjoying his morning when he received a phone call from Mr. Gavman. "Dude, come over! I'm pooping out music." How could young Mr. Mikesell say no? Shortly after that phone call The Rompstompers were born; Writing two songs the very first day it was known that this was gonna become something. *2 years later* Gavin and Josh, older and wiser than they once were grew tired of the two-piece project. Something was missing and clearly, it was a bass player. Colty Anderson, close friend of the Mikesell bro's was going through a "Music Depression;" meaning he wasn't in any projects. Talent like that should never go to waste. Anderson was recruited and gave the new "umph" to the sound that it needed. With highly respected input and incredible tone, the sound was changed and for the better. *1 year later* The 3 slacker-amigos were losing interest in the success (or Lack there of) of the band and they were losing it quick. Having practice every 2-3 months and playing the same 4 songs at every show; the band was bound to fail Until, Adam Stiletto came into the picture. Literally. The Rompstompers became his baby, apart from his real baby. A family man with a Wife and child he took on the position of manager and threw Rompstompers in the right direction.
