The Real Hands

The Real Hands formed in San Marcos, Texas in spring 2013 with singers/guitarists/songwriters David Russell and Bryce Brown, bassist John McAlmon, and drummer Nathan Glaiser. Their debut EP "Real It In" was recorded and mixed by Adrien Waterman at Eastern Sun Studios in spring 2014. At that time they began playing live shows at San Marcos house parties and the legendary Triple Crown (RIP). The single "Castaway" followed that fall, recorded and mixed by the Hands themselves in the Schwab garage. Over the next two years, the full length "Cicada" was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Max Lorenzen at Good Danny's in Austin. "Cicada" was released October 21, 2016, exactly one year prior to the birthday of River Records. The Real Hands have since recruited Patrick McCurry on drums, with Nathan Glaiser switching roles to all-time friend and fan/part-time tambourine man. They are currently recording more music and playing shows in the area!
