DJ Lite Brite

This DJ's journey to today started like some, but not like most. Born & raised in Frisco TX, Jalen "DJ LiTEBRiTE" Dorsey was heavily influenced by the sounds of Old School Hip Hop, R&B & Electronic music. The songs played at home and mixes heard on the radio from DJs sparked Jalen's interest in the craft, but after DJing only one party in High School, a career in music was the last thing on Dorsey's mind. That however changed when he arrived at college in Oklahoma in the fall of 2011. House parties and campus events at were dull and seemed to lack what LiTEBRiTE quickly saw he could offer. Over the next five years, LiTEBRiTE became a very popular DJ in western Oklahoma thriving from the lack there of. LiTEBRiTE coordinated and DJed campus events & local weddings, landed residencies at two popular bars in the college town and opened for national recording artists Love & Theft, Clare Dunn and Granger Smith at regional country music festivals. The diverse array of events LiTEBRiTE performed at during his time in college were grooming him to be an elite multi-genre DJ. Following graduation, DJ LiTEBRiTE moved his home grown business to Oklahoma City and saw exponential growth in a newer, larger market. LiTEBRiTE landed partnerships with Mary Kay Cosmetics and the American Cancer Society as well as inking a residency at Topgolf. He continued his festival run, playing at Backwood Music Festival in 2015. In the following year, LiTEBRiTE played 2 showcases at South by Southwest (SXSW in Austin, TX and a set at Rawhide Music Festival where he opened for G.O.O.D. Music Artist, Desiigner, in Stillwater, OK. LiTEBRiTE was also invited to DJ NBAonTNT's Western Conference Finals Event at Topgolf OKC in June of 2016. Other notable opening sets include Lil Yachty, Young Dolph, Alex Wiley & Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids. Although LiTEBRiTE's career is younger than most DJs, he has spun side by side with many of his seasoned peers in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas & Colorado. DJ LiTEBRiTE's quality of work as can be measured by his clientele's willingness to refer and re-book.
