Alex Cantrell Music

The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influences. Alex's first foray into learning an instrument himself came when he started to play the guitar at 11 years old. Later he began to play piano and the drums, a decision which he never looked back from.

After realizing that making music was his main goal, he began to showcase his talent in various venues across Texas, playing at numerous gigs and making sure that his name and music were being heard by as many people as possible. He was quickly noted for the unique style that brought to the cover songs he rewrote and his popularity began to grow.

Finally, after honing his unique sound over recent years, he is now preparing to release his debut live EP. The songs provide a combination of his exciting guitar playing and mellow/eccentric vocals, with a blast of four part harmonies and punctuated throughout with elements of reggae, hip-hop, punk, jazz, pop, rock and R&B.

The album features Alex on the vocals, bass and guitar, as as Clay Wise (drums and vocals), Tony Cook (bass, guitar and vocals) and Jake Cox (guitar and vocals).
