My Cat Is an Alien

My Cat Is An Alien is the duo of brothers Maurizio and Roberto Opalio who hail from Torino, Italy. They perform minimal, improvisational drone, and often incorporate homemade toys or instruments. Many of their releases have elaborate handmade or handpainted artwork by Robert Opalio, and therefore are both very limited and very expensive.

They preformed their first live show opening for Sonic Youth. Thurston Moore is a longtime fan and supporter of the duo and has collaborated and released splits with them, as well as released some of their material on his own label.
