Stamps the Goat is an all-around media concoction of awesome. Music, comedy, rock'n'roll, videos, television, we do it all. The Band: Formed by the gods Apollo and Athena on Mt. Olympus, Rob Leshin, Tyler Dickens, Chris Hickey, and John Schauster were abruptly thrown together to perform as a band in 2010 in a desperate attempt to charm North Korean dictator/psychopath Kim Jeong Il from instigating nuclear warfare. It worked, as Jeong Il was instantly dissuaded from hostile behavior as a result of the boys' killer hooks, infectious melodies, and rugged pulchritude. Hyped by the insane dictator, the boys quickly shot to superstardom in North Korea, performing under the name "The R. Kelly Treatment". Among their many hits were the singles "Yoko is Not an Artist" and "Asexual Donkey". Today, the boys bring their act to America, where they hope to someday emerge as a major influence in the indie rock underground and win the level of attention and praise attributed to artists like Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, and the Insane Clown Posse. The Show: “SILK CITY” is a show about coming back home… and remembering why you left. Tyler is fresh out of college, with no job and no ambition. He moves back in with his parents, much to the delight of his one-time friend Chris and the dismay of his ex-girlfriend, Lisa. Tyler soon starts a band with Chris and their friend John, hoping to impress Lisa – and avoid finding actual employment. “SILK CITY” is a contemporary comedy about small-town life in 21st century America. With material culled from the collective experiences of its stars and director, its pilot was shot on location in Manchester, CT over the summer of 2011.
