It was amazing, a beautiful and fun show. She brought some serious and heavy topics but then lifted our spirits with dancing and singing and got the audience on their feet! Thank you Fatou can’t wait to see you perform again

Amazing performer and spiritual person

I can’t recommend her enough! Absolutely incredible! Her show in Portland last year was amazing, lastnight was Incredible! Beautiful amazing music!

I love this woman!! She has a strong feminist voice. She talks about equality for men and women. She speaks the truth about how women are oppressed in a lot of the world. Her delivery is tactfully done in an upbeat, and positive way. Her back up band is great.

More than an entertainer. Fatoumata brings joy, energy and a spirit that fills the room and makes everyone feel a personal connection to her.

I totally loved it. She came across as more of a rock star (particularly with her guitar playing style and poses) than I had anticipated and it was not a detractor. Quite the contrary, I loved those moments. She engaged the audience well. Both sides benefited. Her band was doing a great job as well. I had hoped for some parts that would remind me of her collaboration with Roberto Fonseca, and I got some. I look forward to seeing her again!

Ich mag die Musik von Fatoumata Diawara, insbesondere die älteren melodischen Songs, die sie schon auf vielen Festivals präsentiert hat. Leider hat sie in Berlin überwiegend die neueren eher lauten und monoton anheizenden Stücke gespielt. Überzeugend wie immer waren ihre Tanzeinlagen und ihr Gesang. Enttäuschend war für mich, dass der Backgroundgesang vom Band kam und dass die Show schon nach 90 Minuten ohne Zugabe endete. Auch die Veranstalter konnten nicht überzeugen. Lange Schlangen an den wenigen Cateringständen und schneller Ausverkauf eines Teils des Essensangebot, das muss nicht sein.

One of my favorite concerts! Excellent performances by Fatoumata and the band. Very intimate venue with great sound. The folks running everything were happy and professional.

She was a phenomenal performer, bring a spirit and liveliness to the stage not often seen. Her sheer talent and dynamic musicality as a guitarist and singer made her set a thrill to watch. Not a single person stood still on the dance floor while Diawara and her world-class band made Brooklyn come alive. Not only her own singing and dancing, but powerful messages of worldwide unity, activism on behalf of Malian women denouncing FGM, and advocacy of African people as rich in their own right made the concert a night of inspiration and positivity. People will remember the name Fatoumata Diawara and Diawara should know she has done her country and culture exquisitely proud.

A fantastic musician, singer and artist in a very nice intimate venue. Great evening!

Amazing live performance in a perfect setting. Rain cooled the venue and ended with a burst of sun and clouds at sunset for the show. We arrived a bit early and heard a bit of the sound check an hour before the show which convinced us to wander back for the show. So glad we did as Fatoumata Diawara is now in our playlists and memories of a great evening.

Incredible show. Wish there had been an opener, though; not everyone was fully into it until a few songs in.
