About The Plight

THE PLIGHT began in Leeds in late 2004, and after several practices they recorded a demo at Ghost Town Studios in Leeds. After sharing the stage with bands such as Send More Paramedics and Sick Of It All, and selling out of hundreds of demos, they signed with Thirty Days Of Night Records and recorded their first self titled offering at Nottingham's Moot Studios (Bring Me The Horizon, Send More Paramedics, The Wireless Stores).

In 2007 THE PLIGHT signed to Visible Noise Records. They headed to Jase Sanderson's studio in Barnsley to record their latest 6 track mini album 'Black Summer'. This was released in October followed by their first UK headlining tour.

2008 sees the conformation of the first UK atticus tour featuring The Ghost Of A Thousand, The Plight, Blackhole and Hexes in February, plus more tours in the pipeline and rumours of their fist full length album. This year should be a busy year for the boys.

Rumours about the band's ambiguous sexuality remain unconfirmed.
