Chris Botti

Musicians were excellent, did not care for the singer. I think there may have been something wrong with how her mic was connected to the sound system. I also do not like a show that is 2 hours long with no intermission. That said, Chris Botti is a master and always delivers a great performance.

Chris Botti does not disappoint. I have been attending his shows for over 20 years when he first played the jazz festival in San Diego. Caroline Campbell is a wonderful compliment to Chris' sultry trumpet. I do like the slower music better, but the new album is great. Thanks for continuing to come back to Southern California and have a great vacation before the European tour.

Top notch as always. Seen them 5 times. Unfortunately, John Splithoff had another gig on the same night, so we missed him 😞. Always a great show and Chris always does a great job of letting other people shine. But you were reminded several times that Chris’ skills are hard to match and he is an absolute top tier artist, composer, producer and all around talent finder. Thanks again Mr. Botti for an awesome night at a gorgeous venue!

One of the best shows we have ever seen, and we’ve seen shows in the New York theaters, Music Hall , Jones Hall etc in Houston. The artists were phenomenal, so extraordinarily talented! We have always loved Chris Botti but the saxophonist, violinist, and vocals were so incredible and the best additions to the show. The venue was perfect for an intimate setting. We felt like we were really a part of the show. It was incredible!!

A Mesmerizing Symphony of Jazz I recently had the pleasure of attending the highly anticipated Chris Botti concert, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, Botti and his talented ensemble took the stage by storm, captivating the audience with their enchanting melodies and impeccable musicianship. Botti's trumpet mastery is unrivaled, and witnessing his virtuosity in person was a true privilege. But Botti wasn't the only star of the show. His band members and guest artists, consisting of incredibly talented musicians, showcased their extraordinary skills throughout the concert. The chemistry among them was evident, as they seamlessly complemented Botti's trumpet solos with their own incredible solos and tight musical arrangements. It was a true feast for the ears. The concert itself was expertly paced, with a perfect balance of energetic numbers and more introspective pieces. The arrangements were beautifully crafted, blending various genres and styles, and the band's improvisations added a sense of spontaneity and excitement to the performance. Beyond the musical brilliance, Chris Botti's stage presence was captivating. He engaged with the audience, sharing stories and anecdotes that added a personal touch to the evening. His warm and charismatic demeanor made everyone feel connected and involved. If you ever have the opportunity to attend a Chris Botti concert, do not hesitate. It will be an enchanting and unforgettable experience that will leave you craving for more.

This concert was wonderful, awesome and a little surprising. We expected Chris to play abs interact with the audience for 90 minutes-ish. Instead, we got almost a musical “variety” show by Chris having a string of featured performers joining him… a violinist, a sax player, a keyboardist, a bassist/singer and 2 female singers. They were all incredible as they each came out individually at points during the show, and the immense talent and performances of each with Chris and his small band. Chris handpicked each and every one of these Uber talented musicians to great effect. Just an amazing evening at Meritage Napa. Good set up there for the concert as well.

What a fun concert! The music and talent was top notch. Chris created an intimate setting with his audience interaction, even jumping off the stage to talk with three student-age audience members during one of the songs he performed. Sy Smith, John Splithoff, Andy Snitzer, and Anastasiia Mazurok are all so talented, and Chris adding them to the concert bill was a great decision. A very uplifting evening of music.

What a show! This is our 3rd time to see him live and he never disappoints! He is such a generous band leader always allowing for his amazing group to shine in their own groove. Came home and booked our reservation on his first ever “Botti at Sea” cruise. It’s going to be an amazing lineup of artists! Can’t wait till February 2024! Always a fan, Scott & Dee, Benbrook, TX

As always I look forward to seeing Chris Botti at the Blue Note- such an intimate setting- I feel like it’s a private concert just for me. His love for music and introducing new and spectacular talent is another reason I love to see him. If you have an opportunity to see him - GO!! You won’t be disappointed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the two hours of great musical entertainment. Botti was all we expected and his guests were really great. We particularly enjoyed Sy Smith and her beautiful voice range and rendition of some of our favorites. We need to do this again soon.

This was my first time seeing Chris Botti perform live. I'd always seen him on PBS but when I saw he was coming to Detroit I had to get tickets. I was seated in the second row from the stage and it was the best seat for me. This was one of the best concerts I've attended. Bravo!!!

Chris always puts on a great show! Not only is he a great musician; he likes to share the stage with other great talents! He is also a very nice person who I’ve met several times. Last nite Myself and my girls talked with Lee Pearson, his drummer, and kinda hung out with Reggie, bass player, and Leo, guitar. Everyone Chris selects for his band is top notch! Okay

Another fantastic Chris Botti gig! He never fails to deliver - great venue the Lowell Auditorium and Chris and his six guest artists provided an incredible and memorable show!! . 👍👍🎺 Sadly will miss the next local Chris Botti gig at the Tupelo Music Hall. They postponed a Beatles Tribute featuring Jason Scheff and an all star band - a bunch of us pulled up to a dark hall. Well email sent from an employee not even on the venue email was either in the spam folder or never received. Completely unacceptable and lame response by arrogant owner (what a psycho!). Just say no to Tupelo! 😱👎 So Chris Botti somewhere else some time - you are fabulous and the best - but won’t be at your gig at the Tupelo Music Hall!!!!! 🎺😱

Very new, vibrant and fresh. Couldn't have enjoyed it more unless Chris had played more. A bit too much of the extras. Make duets that feature is band to allow more time for Chris or feature them in smaller segments in his solos...etc. his "new find" Tracy? that closed the show. Simply WOW!!!!!! Keep Chris in the forefront.

It was a wonderful show with very talented guest artists. Chris was in top form. I’m such a big fan, I’m going to see him again tonight. I see him every year he comes to Florida. If you want to see an excellent enjoyable show with fabulous guest artists and one of the greatest musicians in the world, I highly recommend this one.

It was a great concert. The band seemed to be having a really great time playing together. All of the special guests were superb. I always try to see Chris Botti when he comes to Atlanta. Even though I had just seen him in November with the Atlanta Symphony, I made the drive to Augusta to see him again with just the band. I loved it and was so happy to see him come back down in the audience and play "My Funny Valentine!"

This show represented a master musician showcasing a half-dozen musical genres with support from five insanely talented guest musicians. Chris' rhythm section has been consistent for several years and is great on its own. The guest artists included Caroline Campbell on violin, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown on sax who played both pure and dirty, incredible in combination with Chris. Sy Smith also performed vocals with a Frank Sinatra standard and owned the audience. Jonathan Johnson sang opera, amazing, and it was topped off by Veronica Swift on vocals and Chris' trumpet. Never seen an instrument handoff like that mid-song, but they did it and Veronica was great. The entire 10-member ensemble crescendoed the show with Earth Wind and Fire's Shining Star. Of all the guests however, Chad Lefkowitz-Brown and Veronica Swift blew us away the most. They both have bright futures and it's a testament to Chris who brought young future greats on stage with him. His commentary about being mentored by Doc Severinsen fit the guest artists' inclusion perfectly. I haven't seen such a range of material in many years, with dynamics and set flow superb. The week-long residency at SFJazz looked a little like a tune-up for Chris' upcoming tour. Even though they were tweaking some of the arrangements on the fly, it was a powerhouse show overall. One negative: the mix. Chris had to ask numerous times for the monitor mix to lift his trumpet. In the course, the front-of-house mix left piano and guitars too low. Not the end of the world, but I found myself straining to hear their parts - and Leonardo Amuedo (guitar) and Holger Marjamaa (piano) are noteworthy talents on their own. Bottom line: If you haven't seen Chris Botti in concert, you owe it to yourself to catch him on tour this winter and spring. It took my view of his musicianship and musical leadership to a whole new level.

Chris and his band killed it as he always does. This was my 5th show and ea h one has been unique and perfect in it's own right. Special shootout to Lee.Pearsons, the drummer, if there is a better jazz drummer, I haven't heard him. Same for the violinist, Csroline Campbell, her open numbers was sheer artistry and perfection and he last number was cheerful and fun, who knew Led Zepplin could sound so good. Please bring him back as often as possible.

This was my 2nd time seeing Chris Botti at Cain Park and it awesome! He is one of my favorite jazz artist and I will never miss one his concerts if I can help it. He not only showcases his talent but also the talent of other musicians that are with him. I will be attendance when he returns.
