Zach Fowler

Zach Fowler bought his first guitar at age 11 for $1.50 in pennies. Since then he has dazzled the masses with his smooth melodies and lyrics that speak truths. Hailing from Fort Mill, SC, Zach was always surrounded with music. Playing in several groups throughout high school gave Z.F. an opportunity to play shows for large crowds before even reaching the age of 18. His most notable groups from those years included Get 6, C4, Furious George & The Backwood Boys. Fowler attended the University of South Carolina in 2004 to study accounting. It was there in Columbia, SC that Zach would begin writing his own solo material and performing around town at local venues. New Brookland Tavern was the venue Zach called "home" and created his initial following. In 2007, the group "Zach Fowler & the Essentials" was formed. The band made leaps and bounds in Columbia and found their niche quick. The group released their debut full-length, "Caught In Between" on iTunes and quickly sold out of their initial pressing. Their second full-length, "Back 2 Square 1" has not yet been released, but a digital release is possible in 2010. As of March 8th, 2010, the group is taking an indefinate break and pursuing other avenues. Zach is currently writing new material and performing as a solo artist at music/art festivals and acoustic venues.
