The venue made it very intimate. Such a great experience. The harmony is beautiful and the playing excellent. Such great songs! We will be looking to see them live again after the new baby!

Amazing show! Emily and Andrew prove once again what an amazing duo they are. The new songs are fantastic and their vocals were wonderful. Jorgensen proved to be a wonderful venue for an intimate show.

Once again, this wonderful and extremely talented duo entranced the audience with their mesmerizing musicianship and captivating, truth-telling lyrics! (And Emily is even more beautiful than ever!) Thank you Watchhouse, so very much, for delighting us here in Salt Lake with the gift of your wonderful talents!! (Can't wait to see you again!!)

The show was sold out. I get that the establishment can hold a certain number of people, however there were soooo many people that you couldn’t hear the music from the talking in the background. It was like air conditioning had never been invented in there. Very frustrating. Tensions ran high with a scuffle breaking out over people talking so loudly. One man shouted “shut the f$&@ up!” At the top of his lungs at one point.

The music was fantastic. I was lucky enough to have reserved seats. I vast majority of the crowd was standing room only. When I returned to my car I found a window smashed and my friends purse gone. Bummer to end the night that way

Emily Frantz has a dreamy voice I could listen to forever. She is also a talented musician as is her husband singer/songwriter Andrew Marlin who has an equally clear voice. They appeared to have as good a time as the audience.

I flew from Florida and drove from Charlotte up to Beech Mountain to attend this. I've never done this, ever. Not travel alone. Not drive up a mountain. That's how inspired I am by them. This 30 plus year old latina mom that wasn't even familiar with the genre before I first listened, to Golden Embers specifically, is smitten against all stereotypes. Now I have an entire playlist mostly with Watchhouse songs.
During the concert, Andrew said something about not being a party band...the world does not need more party. It needs more of this. The connection they have with their music shines through on every word and stroke.
Keep doing what you're doing. We love you.

This is as good as it gets! Imagine eleven musical phenom perfectionists on one stage in a beautiful natural wood theatre setting collaborating in a meticulously orchestrated showcase. This was it and from start to finish the performances were perfection and the spirit was absolutely contagious. The sound was spectacular and from my front row seat I could see and hear every nuance. If there’s a video it will be priceless.

My third time seeing them in concert. The songwriting is beyond belief. Emily is amazing. Josh, Drummer and bassist are incredibly talented. Anyone can relate to the lyrics....especially nowadays.

The show was great, the venue left a lot to be desired. For me as a older person the lack of availability of chairs to sit down was not acceptable and I will not be going back to the venue. I do not think anywhere in the show listing did it say that general admission meant standing up the whole time. That may be acceptable for the young crowd but not for me. Wish I could have stayed for the whole show because Mandolin Orange were exceptional the amount that I was able to see but sitting on the floor was not an acceptable alternative which I tried and I stood as long as I could until I had to leave.

Brilliant musicianship! Personable with the audience. Nice mix of old stuff and material from new album. Hats off to Emily for toughing it out on a night where she definitely had chest cold issues. Immensely enjoyable from start to finish!

Great show!!! Mandolin Orange was amazing! A great mix of old and new songs. I loved when the lights came on during “Golden Embers”. It was great how we all howled during “The Wolves”.

They were absolutely amazing! I love listening to their recorded songs however it does no justice until you see them live. Even the guys from Mapache were a great opener and I was able to meet Andy when he came back in to watch the Mandolin show. Great experience and I will be going to see them anytime that they are in town!

Absolutely amazing! One of the few bands that sounds as good, if not better live, than in their studio albums. Very personable and great stage presence. Hope to make it to another show!

I am a long time concert goer and have seen many different genres of music so I don't dare pick one favorite. Having said that this concert was at the top for me. They play with such beauty and soul and seem to be really well-versed on performing live. It will be the first of many to come for me. I also will look to come back to the Weinberg as it is very elegant inside and has amazing acoustics with ample parking in a garage off to the side. Both are a must see!

If you think they sound good recorded...you have no idea how it is live. I have never found a flaw in their live shows...they are phenomenal and one of the best NC acts I've seen live. I hope to see them every time I can, and hope they bless us with live music for a long time!

Mandolin Orange was amazing as always! The Broadberry, however, was the worst venue I've ever been to. Its narrowness makes it impossible to move when there's a decent sized crowd, and if you try to move back for more space, the closer you are to the bar/blabbering groups of concertgoers who aren't there for the music. That being said, I will continue to support Mandolin Orange no matter where they perform. Musicianship at its finest!

Great show!!! The Dead Tongues was awesome too! Only missed their cover of Spanish Boots. Can't wait for Leif Vollebekk on 6/1 in Decatur. Buy vinyl!!

Performance was great. Venue and production THE WORST I have ever experienced. Show started very late. Opener played too long. Chairs for 10 people, 60 showed up. Know your audience! Many older folk music fans there. I have a medical condition that made it hard to stand for 1.5 hours before Mandolin Orange played. Had to leave after 6 songs. Extremely disappointed, but could no longer stand. The place was hot, dirty, ill equipped. Mandolin Orange deserves much better. It was no place for a class act. Will never again attend here or any other Psycho Steve production.
