About Cinderella Motel

Hailing from the eastern side of Los Angeles and trailing the coinciding fearless rock sound behind them, Cinderella MOTEL melds eccentric arrangements and breakneck tempo changes with subversively carnal yet uniquely twisted lyrics. The band is made up of JFR’s shred-fed guitar lines, Guerrero’s thunderous drum chops, Robles’ fill-laced bass grooves, and Tomahawk's hefty guitar riding shotgun with her howling and growling, acrobatic vocals. One can think of Cinderella MOTEL as extracting parts of Black Sabbath, KISS, Rocket From The Crypt and The Dead Weather on a stormy night and stitching them together in a Frankenstein fashion with Siouxsie, Iggy, Blondie and Brody Dalle. The quartet’s 2nd full-length record was released on November 18, 2014. The sound has evolved a bit this time around. CM still combines their love of 70’s punk with the sly sensibilities of 80’s pop, but now there's a head bangin' emphasis on the amped-up attitude and heaviness that comes from being stuck in a garage with fist-pumping desires of destroying arenas. The self-titled record was recorded in LA by the ever-present Ryan James, Clay Blair at Boulevard Recording Studio, Manny Nieto and Joe "Pants" Wohlmuth (who also mixed/co-produced the additional song). It was self-produced, mixed by Jeff Dean @ MillionYen Studios(Chicago) and mastered by Mark Chalecki @ Little Red Book Mastering (Los Angeles.) Cheers for checkin-in and checkin it out. ".....the band’s tunes were delightfully loud and filled to the brim with a biting, seductive sense of edginess.....[the singer's] level of alcohol consumption before and during the set seemed to be just about perfect and wasn’t overdone to the extent that it would ruin the show." - Andrew Bansal, MetalAssault.com “Cinderella Motel’s thrashy old-school squalor owes a huge debt to black-dressed songstresses of the past — fans of Siouxsie Sioux and Joan Jett, take note — with frontwoman Tammy Tomahawk juggling guitar and accordion and howling at ghosts wearing studded belts and leather collars. Or maybe they’re not ghosts at all. The quartet...features thundering rhythms from bassist Dustin Robles and drummer Raul Guerrero, and appropriately shreddy licks from lead guitarist Janice Reid. L.A. once thrived on a steady diet on a steady diet of post-punk like Cinderella Motel’s; now we have only occasional side dishes to make you scream like a banshee.” –Kevin Bronson, Buzzbands.la NEW RECORD OUT NOW.
