Neferlight

(EN) Neferlight is a Rock Band founded on 2013 by Jose Ramón Sanchiz and Xavi Roncero. Their music is somehow defined by a contrast between light and darkness, with chords full of colours, melodic and deep ambiance parts versus rhythmic riffs and bright powerchords, what confer a characteristic and distinctive sound overall, adding a wide vocal range performance and very defined guitar solos. Stories in the songs are sometimes like tales, like movies, and others are direct messages about life, and own experiences, with rage, sadness, happiness, hope… and of course, love, everywhere… some others are cryptic metaphors to be interpreted by the listeners. JR and Xavi met in a covers band in 2009, and soon they felt a depth musical link, and started to compose and write together, so in 2013 they founded Neferlight as a band with all this growing own repertory. They started to gather some of their compositions to bring out a new album. In 2014 they presented to the Global Rockstar Contest 2014, with more than 4000 worldwide contestants, with the song "Regrets No More". After the clasification stage, they won the countries stage of the contest, and was nominated as the National Winner for Spain, and announced with the rest of the winners as part of a live show on 4 November at the ORF Radiokulturhaus in Vienna, which was shown worldwide via webcast. Along the 1st half of 2015, they were working hard in composing, recording, mixing and producing their album debut, with the title of "Beyond Imagination", under their own record label DarkSight Studios. The album was officialy released worldwide in digital format on May 27th 2015, on the channels iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and Youtube, and later, in June 19th in physical format. ----- (ES) Neferlight es una banda de rock de Alicante (España) fundada en 2013 por José Ramón Sanchiz y Xavi Roncero . Su música se define por el contraste entre la luz y la oscuridad, con acordes llenos de colores, piezas melódicas y profundos ambientes, frente a riffs rítmicos y brillantes powerchords, lo que les confiere un sonido característico y distintivo en general, y a lo que se añade una interpretación vocal de amplio registro y unos solos de guitarra muy definidos. Las historias en las canciones son unas veces como cuentos, otras como películas, y otras son mensajes directos sobre la vida y la propia experiencia, de rabia, tristeza, felicidad, esperanza... y por supuesto, el amor, en todas partes... algunas otras son metáforas crípticas para ser interpretadas por los oyentes. JR y Xavi se conocieron en un grupo de versiones en 2009, y pronto sintieron un profundo vínculo musical, y comenzaron a componer y escribir juntos, lo que les llevó más tarde a fundar Neferlight como banda, con todo este repertorio creciente de temas propios. Empezaron a reunir algunas de sus composiciones para sacar un nuevo álbum. En 2014 se presentaron al Global Rockstar Contest 2014, con más de 4.000 participantes de todo el mundo, con la canción "Regrets No More". Después de la fase de clasificación, ganaron la etapa nacional del concurso, y Neferlight fue nominado como el ganador nacional de España, y anunciado junto al resto de paises, como parte de un show en vivo el 4 de noviembre en el ORF Radiokulturhaus en Viena, retransmitido en todo el mundo a través de webcast. A lo largo de la primera mitad de 2015, estuvieron trabajando duro en la composición, grabación, mezcla y producción de su álbum debut, con el título "Beyond Imagination", bajo su propio sello discográfico DarkSight Studios. El álbum fue lanzado oficialmente en formato digital el 27 de mayo de 2015, a través de los canales iTunes, Spotify y Google Play y más tarde, en el 19 de junio en formato físico.
